CPS Parent Portal

Stay Connected to Your Child’s Learning

​The CPS Aspen Parent Portal gives parents and guardians access to important information about their child’s education, including:

  • Grades and academic progress

  • Assignments

  • Attendance

  • Teacher contact information

  • Student fees and payments

  • E-Absence to report an absence

You can access Parent Portal from a computer, tablet, or smartphone.

🟢 Need a Parent Portal Account?

If you have never created a Parent Portal account, start by making sure Hibbard has your current email address on file.

Step 1: Contact Hibbard

Contact the school office and ask us to verify:

  • Your name and contact information

  • Your email address

  • That you are connected to your child in Aspen

  • That your contact is set up for Parent Portal access

Step 2: Check Your Email

After your information is verified, you will receive an email from Aspen inviting you to create your Parent Portal account.

Don’t see the email? Check your Spam or Junk folder.

Step 3: Create Your Account

Follow the link in the email to:

  1. Verify your information.

  2. Create a password.

  3. Create a security question.

  4. Log in using your email address and new password.

  5. Verify your child’s first name and date of birth.

Reset Your Parent Portal Password

  1. Go to the Aspen Parent Portal login page.

  2. Select Parent Portal Password Reset.

  3. Enter your Login ID and the email address associated with your account.

  4. Follow the instructions sent to your email.

Don’t Know Your Login ID?

Contact the Hibbard office and we can help you verify your Parent Portal information.

👧🏽👦🏻 Have More Than One Child in CPS?

All of your CPS students should appear under one Parent Portal account when your contact information is properly connected to each child.

If you can see one child but another child is missing, please contact the school office.

We can check whether:

  • You are listed as a contact for both students.

  • Your name, email address, and phone number match.

  • Your contact record is correctly shared and connected to each student.

Do not create a second Parent Portal account. Contact us first so we can help troubleshoot the connection.

📧 Changed Your Email Address?

Please contact the school whenever your email address or other contact information changes.

Your Parent Portal account depends on the contact information connected to your student in Aspen.

📱 No Computer? No Problem!

Aspen Parent Portal can be accessed from a:

  • Smartphone

  • Tablet

  • Laptop

  • Desktop computer

Families may also use computers available through the Chicago Public Library.

If you are having trouble creating your account, resetting your password, or seeing all of your children in Parent Portal, please contact our school office.

When contacting us, please provide:

  • Parent/guardian name

  • Student name

  • Student grade

  • Best phone number or email for us to reach you

Please do not send your child’s CPS ID number, date of birth, or your password through email or text.
