How to Join Our LSC by Filling the Open Seat
Applications for LSC vacancies are accepted year-round! If you want to fill our open parent seat, just follow these quick steps:
-
Step 1: Confirm Eligibility – As long as your child is currently enrolled at our school, you are eligible for this parent vacancy.
-
Step 2: Get the Packet – Complete the brief nomination packet (Nomination Form, Criminal Conviction Disclosure, and Phone Disclosure). You can get these from the main office or the CPS website. Note: You will need two forms of ID to apply.
-
Step 3: Submit Your Forms – turn in hard copies of your packet to our principal, and email a copy to lscrelations@cps.edu.
-
Step 4: Attend Our Next LSC Meeting (see 20026-2027 LSC Calendar Above) During the public comment portion, simply share your desire to join the council. The LSC will note this in the official minutes and add you to the voting agenda for the following meeting.
-
Step 5: Await the Vote – At the next meeting, the current council will vote. If the majority votes "yes," you are officially on the team and can begin making a difference right away!
